Song: Humsafar Banke Hum Singer: Jagjit Singh Music: Chitra & Jagjit Singh Lyrics: Madanpal After the success of Arth in year 1983 , the same team producer Kuljit Pal and director Mahesh Bhatt, started 2 films together 'Aghaat' & 'Aaj'. Mahesh Bhatt started to shoot both the film together. Then Mahesh Bhatt lost interest in Aghaat and he abodoned the film and concentreted on Aaj and his other films. After sometimes Amit Khanna took over Aghaat retittled it to Aahiyana and he completed the film and then it was released. Ghazal king Jagjit Singh apperead in his song in this film. Later on Govind Nihalani made a film and used the tittle Aghaat. The film was famous for Mahesh Bhatt slapping Marc Zuber on the sets of the film. Mahesh Bhatt left the film midway .After Arth was declared a hit and Kuljit Pal wanted to revive the film. Mahesh Bhatt refused. Mahesh's brother in law was financing the film ,so Mahesh kept quite and didnt talk about the film in the media. Kuljit sold the film to distributors saying Mahesh had directed the film. This was a lie. Mahesh only directed 50% of the film. Kuljit Pal finished the rest of the film by himself. The film was retitled Jism Ka Rishta and released on video in the early 90s. For years there was mass confusion between the films Aashiana (1986) and Jism Ka Rishta, that released in 1989. But this is what actually happened. Producer Kuljit Pal may sold the film to producer Kingi at some point. This may have been before the release of Aashiana. But Aashiana did eventually release. Kingi still went ahead with his plan. He added scenes to the film Aashiana (new scenes with actor Mohan Choti, Haider Ali's song etc) and made it into " Jism Ka Rishta ".He then went and added unused scenes/footage of Aashiana and added that to Jism Ka Rishta. Kingi next recorded a few new songs with music director Deedar Singh. He also added Jeetendra and Rekha's song from Naya Bakra. Next he added a Mohammed Rafi song of Raj Kiran from another film. Kingi also shot a new title sequence that was different from Aashiana. All this was done to make the audience believe "Jism Ka Rishta" was a new and different film from Aashiana. All Kingi did was re-edit Aashiana add new scene's/songs, and try to make his own film to fool the public . One is not sure why the producer Kuljit Pal agreed to do this. Many of the stars involved were not even aware of "Jism Ka Rishta" being made and released. Disclaimer: This clip is for information purposes only.
